Week #2 #AEMLAX Awards Announced with League Play Set to Start

BOSTON – Six of the eight #AEMLAX have started their seasons with UAlbany and UMBC picking up wins.  
 
The Great Danes moved up two spots to #18 in both the USILA and Inside Lacrosse Polls.
 
Conference play kicks off this week with four games.
 
Fans will once again be able to watch the majority of #AEMLAX this season. Select games will air on The AE on ESPN while others will air on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.

#AEMLAX Weekly Award Winners – March 1
Offensive Player of the Week
Jakob Patterson, UAlbany – Graduate Student, Attack, Chandler, Ariz.
  • Totaled eight points on four goals and four assists in UAlbany’s win over Colgate.
  • This is Patterson’s first Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Liam Donnelly, UAlbany – Grad., Goalkeeper, Yorktown Heights, N.Y.
  • Made 10 saves in UAlbany’s 15-9 win over Colgate.
  • This is Donnelly’s first career Defensive Player of the Week award.
Rookie of the Week
Dylan Pallonetti, Stony Brook – Fr., Attack, Stony Brook, N.Y.
  • Had five goals and three assists Stony Brook’s game vs. Hofstra.
  • This is Pallonetti’s second-straight Rookie of the Week honor.
