BOSTON – With the calendar turning to December, three #AEHoops teams posted unbeaten weeks as NJIT, UNH and Vermont all went unscathed last week.
#AEHoops Notes
- A pair of teams are riding three-game win streaks in New Hampshire and NJIT.
- The Highlanders won three times last week to improve to 5-3 on the season.
- NJIT faces Northwestern on ESPNU on Saturday.
- Hartford picked up its first win of the season, 65-55, over St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday behind 22 points from Austin Williams.
- Six Catamounts scored in twin figures to pace Vermont’s win over Dartmouth. Ryan Davis led the way with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Fans will once again be able to watch every #AEHoops game this season regardless of where they live! The majority games will air on The AE on ESPN, either ESPN+ or ESPN3, in the United States. Games will also be available internationally on AmericaEast.TV. Those games will be available on computers, OTT devices and the brand new America East app, which is available on all IOS and Android devices and can be found by searching ‘America East Conference’ in app stores.
The men’s #AEHoops preseason poll was announced on Oct. 21.
2021-22 Weekly Award Winners (Dec. 6)
Player of the Week
Dylan O’Hearn, NJIT – Sr., Guard, Windsor, Ont
- Averaged a league-best 26.0 points and added 4.0 rebounds in a 3-0 week for NJIT.
- Had a career day in the Highlander’s win over Lafayette on Sunday, scoring a career-high 42 points and setting a new program record in the process.
- Had 20 points and four assists in a win over Sacred heart on Monday.
- This is O’Hearn’s first #AEHoops Player of the Week honor of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Sam Ihekwoaba, NJIT – Fr., Guard, Orlando, Fla.
- Contributed a career-high nine points on perfect 3-of-3 shooting and added a pair of rebounds in just 10 minutes of action vs. Columbia.
- Averaged 6.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in two games last week.
- This is Ihekwoaba’s first career #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor.
