BOSTON – Conference play is set to begin Thursday in women’s basketball with the first game scheduled to tip off at 2 p.m. as Stony Brook visits NJIT.
Hartford is scheduled to host UAlbany at 5 p.m. while New Hampshire and Vermont are scheduled to host 6 p.m. games against UMass Lowell and Maine, respectively. UMBC and Binghamton make up the night-cap on the schedule with their conference opener set for 7 p.m. in Vestal. Watch all five games live on ESPN+/3.
#AEHoops Notes
- Vermont recorded its fourth win in five games before the holiday, topping Bryant on the road 61-45.
- The Catamounts are 5-1 at home this season and host Maine Thursday.
- UAlbany won for the third consecutive time and fifth time in six tries with a 65-52 win over CCSU Tuesday.
- The Great Danes remained unbeaten at home (5-0) and host Union Tuesday in the final non-conference contest of the season.
- Stony Brook became the first #AEHoops program to beat two Power-5 teams in the same season since Maine beat LSU and Clemson in 2015-16.
- At 9-1, the Seawolves hold the best record entering conference play since the 2019-20 Seawolves started 12-1.
- The Seawolves ranked seventh in last week’s College Insider Mid Major Top 25.

- Game-high 17 points leading the Catamounts to a win last Tuesday.
- Richason shot 50 percent from the field while making all three of her three-point attempts.
- Grabbed seven rebounds.
- This is her first career Player of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Catherine Gilwee, Vermont – Fr., Guard, Hinesburg, Vt.
- Career-high 13 points in her fourth career start.
- Gilwee shot 50 percent from the floor and converted on three of her seven three-point attempts.
- Also tied a game-high with three assists.
- This is her first Rookie of the Week honor.
