Haegerstrand's 23 Points Lead UAlbany over Siena

BOSTON – Stony Brook won its eighth game of the season last week while UAlbany and Vermont stayed hot in the month of December. Three players led their teams to wins with 20-point performances last week.
 
Looking Back
  • The Seawolves improved to 8-1 with a win over Penn, which was picked to finish second in the Ivy League.
  • India Pagan led the way with 20 points and eight rebounds while this Gigi Gonzalez circus shot wound up on SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays.
  • The Catamounts have won three-straight – all this month – after their latest win over Dartmouth.
  • The Great Danes are 3-1 in December with the only loss coming at Vanderbilt last week.
  • NJIT beat St. Francis Brooklyn on the road 59-53 on Sunday.
 
Looking Ahead
  • Eight games are on the schedule this week as a number of schools are in the midst of final exams.
  • The Catamounts resume play at UMass Sunday.
  • Maine hosts Dartmouth on Sunday at 1 p.m.

  • Averaged 17.0 points on 50 percent shooting in two games.
  • Haegerstrand led the Great Danes with 23 points in a win over Siena.
  • Hit all six free throws on Sunday.
  • This is her first career #AEHoops Player of the Week honor.
 
Rookie of the Week
Erin Turral, Stony Brook -  Fr., Guard, Tallahassee, Fla.
  • Scored nine points in Stony Brook’s win over Penn.
  • In her second collegiate game, Turral handed out three assists and grabbed a pair of rebounds.
  • This is her first Rookie of the Week honor.
