Three Peat! #6 UNH Wins 3rd Straight #AEMSOC Regular-Season Title, Tourney Bracket Set

University of New Hampshire, the sixth ranked men’s soccer team in the nation, capped off its historic regular season by capturing its third-straight regular-season title on Thursday, the final day of the season. Additionally, Stony Brook and NJIT earned the final bids to the 2021 America East Men’s Soccer Championship as the seeds and matchups were set.
 
The final seeds:
 
    1. New Hampshire
    2. Vermont
    3. UAlbany
    4. Stony Brook
    5. UMBC
    6. NJIT
 
New Hampshire beat UMass Lowell, 1-0, to wrap its regular season with a 15-0-2 mark. The Wildcats are the first America East team to win three-straight regular-season titles since Boston University did so from 1995-97. UNH will host a semifinal on Nov. 10.
 
Stony Brook beat UAlbany, 1-0, to earn and tournament bid, while NJIT downed Hartford, 2-0, to help lock up its second-straight berth.
 
The Seawolves will host UMBC in the first quarterfinal on Saturday at 1 p.m. while the Great Danes will host NJIT in the other semifinal at 7 p.m.
 
The winner of Stony Brook-UMBC will visit #1 UHH at 7 p.m. in the semifinals on Nov. 10 and the UAlbany-NJIT winner will square off against #2 Vermont in Burlington at 6 p.m.

The semifinal winners will face off for the 2021 conference title at the higher remaining seed on either Saturday, Nov. 13 or Sunday, Nov. 14 pending which school hosts.
