As competitive America East women’s soccer regular season as there as ever been is complete and the championship is about to begin for six teams, including four who clinched bids to the 2021 America East Women’s Soccer Championship on Thursday. The final seeds and matchups were sewed up in dramatic fashion.
The final seeds for the 2021 America East Women’s Soccer Championship are:
1. Vermont
2. UMass Lowell
3. NJIT
4. UAlbany
5. Binghamton
6. New Hampshire
UMass Lowell, NJIT and UAlbany all earned wins on Thursday to earn bids, while New Hampshire earned the No. 6 seed by virtue of its win over Stony Brook on October 16.
The Highlanders will host the Wildcats in the first quarterfinal on Sunday at 1 p.m. while the Great Danes will host Binghamton in the other semifinal at 3 p.m.
The winner of NJIT-UNH will visit #2 UMass Lowell at 7 p.m. in the semifinals on Nov. 4 and the UAlbany-Binghamton winner will square off against #1 Vermont, the regular-season champion, in Burlington at 6 p.m.
The semifinal winners will face off for the 2021 conference title at the higher remaining seed on Sunday, Nov. 7.
