Top-10 Finishes Highlight #AEXC Week #6 Awards

BOSTON – Only two meets featured America East cross country programs last weekend as most competed in NEICAAA Championships.
 
The top #AEXC team finishers were New Hampshire on the women’s side and Maine in the men’s team scoring led by this week’s award winners.

Here are the Week #6 awards:
 
Female Performer of the Week
Addison Cox, New Hampshire – Fr., Northwood, N.H.
  • Led UNH to a second-place finish at New England Championships.
  • Cox’s time of 17:52.8 was ninth-fastest in the meet.
  • This is the freshman’s first career #AEXC award.
 
Male Performer of the Week
Sam Mills, Maine – Jr., Biddeford, Maine
  • Claimed third place at New England Championships.
  • Mills ran the course in 24:46.5 to help Maine finish seventh.
  • This is his second weekly honor in three weeks.

Sept. 22 – Female Performer of the Week: Emily Mackay, Binghamton; Male Performer of the Week: William Cole-French, UMass Lowell
Sept. 29 – Female Performer of the Week: Emily Sessa, UMass Lowell; Male Performer of the Week: Sam Mills, Maine
Oct. 6 – Female Performer of the Week: Emily Mackay, Binghamton; Male Performer of the Week: Dan Schaffer, Binghamton
Oct. 13 – Female Performer of the Week: Addison Cox, New Hampshire; Male Performer of the Week: Sam Mills, Maine
