Schedule updates made during the 2020-21 America East men's and women's basketball seasons.

2/14/21: The America East Conference has announced adjustments to its men’s and women’s basketball schedule for the weekend of Feb. 13-14 due to COVID-19 protocols and two programs discontinuing their seasons last week, the Hartford women and Maine men. Additionally, the conference has announced future men’s and women’s basketball matchups. The men’s schedule extends through Feb. 28 while the women’s is through Feb. 23. The women’s schedule beyond Feb. 23 is to be determined.

Schedules are subject to change. Game times will be announced by the host institutions. Single games that are the third meeting of the season between two teams will count in the conference standings.


5/21: The America East Conference announced this morning two men’s basketball series adjustments for this weekend due to COVID-19 protocols. Changes include: 
  • NJIT at Binghamton scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6 and Sunday, Feb. 7 – postponed due to COVID-19 issues in the Binghamton program
  • UMBC at Stony Brook scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6 and Sunday, Feb. 7 – moved to Sunday, Feb. 7 and Monday, Feb. 8. Both games will start at 1 p.m.
1/20/21: The America East Conference announced this evening that four basketball series scheduled for Jan. 23-24 have been postponed after several teams were deemed unavailable due to COVID-19 protocols. Postponed series include: 
  • Hartford at Vermont women’s basketball
  • Binghamton at Maine men’s basketball
  • UMBC at UMass Lowell men’s basketball
  • Vermont at Hartford men’s basketball
As a result of the postponements, the following series are now scheduled for Jan. 23-24:
  • Binghamton at NJIT men’s basketball – both games will start at 2 p.m.
  • UMBC at Stony Brook men’s basketball – both games will start at 5 p.m.
Rescheduled dates for all postponed series will be announced at a later time.

1/14/21: Two women’s basketball series scheduled for this upcoming weekend have been postponed after UMBC and Vermont were deemed unavailable due to COVID-19 protocols. The Maine at Vermont and UMBC at Hartford series scheduled for Jan. 16-17 have been postponed. As a result, the weekend schedule has been altered. The Maine at UAlbany women’s basketball series originally scheduled for Feb. 6-7 will now be played Jan. 16-17. Game times will be 12 p.m. on both days. The Hartford at NJIT series originally scheduled for Jan. 30-31 will not be played Jan. 17-18. Game times will be 2 p.m. on both days. The UAlbany at NJIT series originally scheduled for Jan. 16-17 will be made up on later dates. Rescheduled dates for all postponed series will be announced at a later time.


1/8/21: Two women’s basketball series scheduled for this upcoming weekend have been postponed after two programs were deemed unavailable due to COVID-19 protocols. The Binghamton at Vermont and New Hampshire at UMBC series scheduled for Jan. 9-10 have been postponed. Rescheduled dates will be announced at a later time. The Binghamton-New Hampshire women’s basketball series, originally scheduled for Jan. 30-31, will now be played Jan. 10-11 at Binghamton. Game times will be 6 p.m. on Sunday and 2 p.m. on Monday.

1/1/21: The America East Conference has announced a schedule adjustment that provides two of its women’s basketball programs competition opportunities this weekend after their original opponents were deemed unavailable due to COVID-19 protocols. The UMBC-Vermont women’s basketball series, originally scheduled for Feb. 27-28 at Vermont, will now be played Jan. 3-4 at UAlbany. Game times will be 3 p.m. on Sunday and 1 p.m. on Monday.

We greatly appreciate the flexibility of UMBC and Vermont in agreeing to this schedule and travel adjustment on short notice. We also owe a special thanks to UAlbany’s administration for its willingness to host the series resulting in a shorter travel distance for the visiting team. Our membership remains committed to work together and collaborate in order to maximize competition opportunities for our student-athletes in this unique and challenging season. We will continue to be creative and flexible with our schedules without sacrificing the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and team personnel.

12/31/20: Three women’s basketball series have been postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the UAlbany and Stony Brook women’s basketball programs. The Stony Brook at UMBC and Vermont at UAlbany series scheduled for Jan. 2-3 have been postponed as has the UAlbany at Stony Brook series scheduled for Jan. 9-10. Rescheduled dates will be announced at a later time.

12/30/20: Two men’s basketball series have been postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Stony Brook men’s basketball program that have caused the team to pause activities. The UMBC at Stony Brook series scheduled for Jan. 2-3 has been rescheduled for Feb. 6-7. The Stony Brook at UAlbany series scheduled for Jan. 9-10 has been rescheduled for Feb. 12-13. UMass Lowell, Stony Brook’s most recent opponent, has completed contact tracing protocols and been cleared to resume activities.

12/27/20: The New Hampshire at Hartford women’s basketball series will be played Monday (Dec. 28) and Tuesday (Dec. 29) after the completion of COVID-19 protocols. The series opener, originally scheduled for Sunday (Dec. 27), was postponed after an antigen test administered Saturday resulted in a positive from one of the participating teams. Per conference protocols, a confirmatory RT-PCR test was administered and the result from that test came back as negative this evening. Game times will be 3 p.m. on Monday and 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

12/26/20: the New Hampshire at Hartford women’s basketball game scheduled for Sunday (Dec. 27) has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols. More information regarding the series will be announced on Sunday evening.

12/9/20: The Hartford-Maine women’s basketball series scheduled to be played at Maine on Dec. 19-20 will now be played at Hartford on Dec. 22-23 due to group-size limitations of not more than 50 people in accordance with directives of Maine Civil Authorities.

12/9/20: The New Hampshire at NJIT men’s basketball series for scheduled for Dec. 22-23 has been rescheduled for Feb. 6-7 due to COVID-19 protocols.

12/8/20: The New Hampshire at NJIT series scheduled for December 12-13 has been rescheduled for December 22-23.

12/8/20: The Vermont at UMass Lowell series scheduled for December 19-20 has been pushed back two days to December 21-22.
