AE Student-Athletes Shatter Academic Honor Roll Standard
BOSTON – In a semester full of change and uncertainty, America East student-athletes delivered academically like never before as over 85 percent of winter and spring student-athletes achieved academic America East Academic Honor Roll status, shattering the previous conference mark. Additionally, over two-thirds of student-athletes earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status.
Honor Roll recognition is bestowed to student-athletes who obtain a semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 higher during their competition season, while Commissioner's Honor Roll is reserved for student-athletes who earn a 3.5 GPA or greater.
"Given all the challenges presented to student-athletes last semester, this is quite an impressive achievement," said America East Commissioner, Amy Huchthausen. "I continue to be impressed by our student-athletes commitment to their education and the accolades they earn in the classroom."
