Finalists Highlight America East Man & Woman of Year Nominees
BOSTON – The stage is set for two of conference’s most prestigious honors to be handed out next week as the nominees for the 2019-20 America East Man & Woman of the Year Awards were announced on Wednesday afternoon, highlighted by the six finalists for the awards.
The America East Man and Woman of the Year awards recognize the conference's senior male and female student-athlete who has best distinguished himself and herself throughout their collegiate career in the areas of academic achievement, athletic excellence, service and leadership.
The three men’s finalists were chosen from eight men’s nominees, including Binghamton’s Jack Fitzgerald, UMass Lowell’s Christian Lutete and UMBC’s Ilia Rattsev. UAlbany’s Kelly Barkevich, UMBC’s Lucrezia Costa, Stony Brook’s Clodagh O’Reilly were the three finalists selected from the nine women's nominees.

To be nominated, student-athletes must have completed intercollegiate eligibility in their primary sport by the end of the 2020 spring season, with the exception of spring sport athletes, and have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.50 (4.00 scale).
The 2019-20 America East Man and Woman of the Year will be announced on Tuesday, July 30.
