Another Stellar Weekend for #AEMLAX teams; Week #4 Awards Announced
BOSTON – It was another strong week #AEMLAX teams as the seven squads combined to 6-3, which included Stony Brook picking up wins over Hofstra and Rutgers. The Seawolves and UAlbany, which beat Harvard, are receiving votes in the national polls.
Thirteen more games take place this week, highlighted by UAlbany taking on #15 UMass and #4 Maryland this week

Offensive Player of the Week
Tehoka Nanticoke, UAlbany – Jr., Attack, Six Nations, Ont.
- Racked up eight points in UAlbany’s 15-14 win over Hartford on Saturday.
- Had five goals and three assists.
- This is Nanticoke’s first Offensive Player of the Week honor this season and second of his career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Nick Washuta, Vermont – Sr., Goalkeeper, Orono, Minn.
- Made a season-high 14 saves in Vermont’s 9-8 win over Merrimack.
- Had a .634 save percentage.
- Picked up seven ground balls.
- This is Washuta’s first Defensive Player of the Week award of the season and 10th of his career.
Rookie of the Week
Alex Poma, UMBC – Fr., Faceoff Specialist, Marietta, Ga.
- Won 83 percent of his faceoffs (19-of-23) in UMBC’s 13-6 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday.
- Picked up a season-high 10 ground balls.
- Scored his first career goal.
- This is Poma’s first career Rookie of the Week honor.
