BOSTON – Stony Brook highlighted last week’s #AESB action going 3-1 and improving to a league-best 10-4 this season. Here are the conference's fourth weekly award winners of the 2020 season:
 
#AESB Weekly Award Winners – March 10
Player of the Week
Melissa Rahrich, Stony Brook – Sr., First Base, Brighton, Colo.
  • Compiled a 1.898 OPS slashing .615/.667/1.231 in a 3-1 week.
  • Hit two home runs and two doubles.
  • Drove in five.
  • This is Rahrich’s first Player of the Week honor of the season and sixth of her career.
Pitcher of the Week
Courtney Coppersmith, UMBC – So., Pitcher, York, Pa.
  • Didn’t allow a run in two appearances last week while surrendering just two hits.
  • Struck out 24 in 10 innings pitched.
  • This is Coppersmith’s second Pitcher of the Week honor of the season and eighth of her career.
Rookie of the Week
Alyssa Viscardo, Hartford – Fr., Pitcher, Malvern, Pa.
  • Picked up the win in relief vs. Manhattan by not allowing a run in four innings pitched.
  • This is Viscardo’s first career Rookie of the Week honor.

March 3 Player of the Week: Katie Falotico, UAlbany; Pitcher of the Week: Courtney Coppersmith, UMBC; Rookie of the Week: Tessa Nuss, Binghamton
