Student-Athletes Set New Bar for Honor Roll

BOSTON – For the third-straight year, a record number of student-athletes were named to the America East Fall Honor Roll as 821 student-athletes earned a 3.0 grade-point average or better, nearly three quarters of the total number of student-athletes participating in America East sponsored fall sports. Further, nearly half earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status for compiling a GPA better than 3.5.

  • Overall, 821 student-athletes (74%) had a 3.0 GPA or higher, a conference record.
  • 509 (46%) made the Commissioner’s Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Hartford had the highest percentage of student-athletes earn Honor Roll status (87%).
  • Hartford also had the highest percentage of student-athletes earn Commissioner’s Honor Roll status (70%), nearly twelve percent higher than the next closest institution.
  • Vermont had the most student-athletes earn Honor Roll (112) and Commissioner’s Honor Roll (68).
  • Three programs: Stony Brook volleyball, Hartford volleyball and Hartford women’s soccer had every student-athlete hold a 3.0 GPA.
