BOSTON – Maine and Stony Brook began conference play by sweeping their opponents while UMass Lowell split with Vermont and UMBC split a series with UAlbany. Following the opening round of league play, eight teams have at least one win.
Maine is off to its first 5-0 start to a season since 1986 and stretched its win streak to 15 games after sweeping Hartford in the opening conference series. After starting the season 0-2, Stony Brook has rattled off four straight wins. Full schedule/results

Blanca Millan, Maine – Sr., Guard, Santiago de Compostela, Spain
- Continued her torrid start to the season with 33 points and 10 rebounds in the conference opener.
- Millan has three 30-point performances in five games and ranks in the nation’s top-10 in scoring.
- She leads #AEHoops in rebounding, averaging 9.2 per game.
- This is her second consecutive Player of the Week award and tenth of her career.
Rookie of the Week
Anna Olson, Vermont – Fr., Forward, Monticello, Minn.
- Averaged 9.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in Vermont’s first two games of the season.
- Olson shot 47 percent from the floor overall, making five of her ten shots in Vermont’s win on Sunday.
- This is her first career #AEHoops award.
