Stony Brook, UAlbany, UMass Lowell Start Conference Play 2-0; Week #9 Awards Unveiled
BOSTON – Stony Brook, UAlbany and UMass Lowell have all begun conference play 2-0 while Maine (1-1) and New Hampshire (1-1) have also found the win column. The Seawolves are one of just six Division I teams with an active win streak of 11 or more games.
Eight more games lie ahead this week, starting with four Wednesday evening. For the second-straight year the top eight teams in the standings will earn #AEPlayoffs berths with the top four teams garnering home quarterfinal games.

Here are the conference’s week #9 women’s basketball awards of the 2019-20 season:
Player of the Week
India Pagan, Stony Brook – Jr., Forward, New London, Conn.
- Averaged 21.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in first two games of conference play.
- Pagan shot 70 percent from the floor to guide the Seawovles to two wins.
- This is her second #AEHoops Player of the Week honor in a three-week span.
Rookie of the Week
Anne Simon, Maine – Fr., Guard, Sandweiler, Luxembourg
- Averaged 17.7 points and 6.0 rebounds in three games.
- She scored 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting in Maine’s league-opening win against Hartford.
- This is her second #AEHoops Rookie of the Week award.
