UAlbany, Binghamton Improve to 2-0 in #AEWSOC Play, Week #6 Honors Passed Out
BOSTON – The second week of #AEWSOC conference play saw UAlbany, Binghamton and Hartford earn wins while Maine and Vermont played to a 1-1 tie. The Great Danes and Bearcats are off to perfect 2-0-0 starts. This week features league games on both Thursday and Sunday.

The top six teams in the standings at the end of the season with qualify for the America East Championship.

#AEWSOC Weekly Award Winners – Sept. 30
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Sarah Dibble, Binghamton – Jr., Forward, Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.
- Had three points in just 16 minutes of action during Binghamton’s 2-0 win at UNH Sunday.
- Scored the game winner and assisted on the Bearcats’ second goal.
- This is Dibble’s first career Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Sierra Stone, Hartford – Sr., Midfielder, Hartford
- Had a goal and an assist in Hartford’s 2-1 overtime win at UMass Lowell.
- Scored the game-winner goal midway through overtime.
- This is Stone’s first career Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Defensive Player of the Week
Haylee Poltorak, Binghamton – So., Goalkeeper, Massapequa, N.Y.
- Stopped all four shots she faced in Binghamton’s 2-0 shutout win over UNH on Sunday.
- This is Poltorak’s league-leading fifth shutout of the year.
- This is her first career Defensive Player of the Week award.
Rookie of the Week
Maya Anand, Binghamton – Fr., Forward, Leesburg, Va.
- Scored her first career goal in Binghamton’s 2-0 win at UNH on Sunday.
- This is Anand’s first career Rookie of the Week honor.
