#15 Stanford Wins League Opener; #AEFH Week #4 Awards Revealed
BOSTON – #15 Stanford and Cal opened up conference play last weekend with the Cardinal triumphing over its in-state rivals. #20 UAlbany capitalized against non-conference opponents with a 3-0 week while UC Davis and UMass Lowell each notched a pair of victories over non-league foes.
Non-conference play continues this week until league play fills the schedule beginning on Oct. 4. Fourteen games separate the two, five of which are against top-25 opponents.

#AEFH Weekly Award Winners – Sept. 24
Offensive Player of the Week
Dana Bozek, UAlbany – Sr., Midfield, Cortlandt, N.Y.
- Led #20 UAlbany to 3-0 week with 10 points on four goals and two assists.
- Accounted for all four goals against Colgate behind a hat trick and an assist.
- This is Bozek's first Offensive Player of the Week honor of her career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Kelsey Bing, Stanford – Sr., Goalkeeper, Houston, Texas
- Shut out Cal to lead #15 Stanford to victory to open conference play.
- Bing made six saves in her second shutout of the season.
- This is her first Defensive Player of the Week award of the season and sixth her career.
Rookie of the Week
Kate Miller, UMass Lowell – Fr., Forward, Cherry Hill, N.J.
- Scored two goals and added a helper in win over Sacred Heart.
- Her five-point performance on Friday earned Miller the starting nod on Sunday against Columbia.
- This is Miller’s first #AEFH Rookie of the Week nod.

Sept. 17 – Co-Offensive Player of the Week: Corinne Zanolli, Stanford; Co-Offensive Player of the Week: Finn Caron, New Hampshire; Defensive Player of the Week: Chelsea Bigelow, UC Davis; Rookie of the Week: Sofie Knook, UMass Lowell
Sept. 24 – Offensive Player of the Week: Dana Bozek, UAlbany; Defensive Player of the Week: Kelsey Bing, Stanford; Rookie of the Week: Kate Miller, UMass Lowell
