#AEMSOC Teams Go 10-3-1; League Play Starts Friday

BOSTON – #AEMSOC teams continued their recent dominance by putting up a .750 winning percentage last week after combining to go 10-3-1. Since Sept. 9, #AEMSOC teams are 19-6-2.
 
#18 New Hampshire won twice to improve to 5-0-2 and remain one of only 17 unbeaten teams in the country. The Wildcats visit Quinnipiac on Tuesday in one of four non-conference games prior to league play beginning this weekend. On Friday, UNH hosts Binghamton and Hartford visits UAlbany while on Saturday, Vermont visits Stony Brook and UMBC heads to UMass Lowell.

Offensive Player of the Week
Rasmus Tobinski, Vermont – Fr., Forward, Kiel, Germany
  • Tallied three goals in two games last week.
  • The league leader with six scores overall, Tobinski found the back of the net twice in a 3-0 win over Merrimack on Saturday.
  • This is Tobinski’s third Rookie of the Week honor of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Jimmy Slayton, Hartford – Sr., Goalkeeper, Wethersfield, Conn.
  • Had a season-high five saves in Hartford’s 2-0 win over Fairfield on Saturday.
  • The shutout was Slayton’s third in a row.
  • This is Slayton’s second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season and also the second of his career.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Mats Roorda, Binghamton – Fr., Goalkeeper, Groningen, Netherlands
  • Registered a 0.43 GAA, .923 save% and 12 saves in 1-0-1 week for Binghamton.
  • Made a career-high eight saves in a shutout vs. Monmouth on Saturday.
  • This is Roorda’s first career Rookie of the Week honor.
Co-Rookie of the Week
