Nationally Ranked Teams Highlight Fall Sport Success 9/19/2019 12:21:52 PM The 2019-20 academic year is well underway for America East fall sport programs with several teams experiencing early-season success as conference play approaches. Fans can watch all games hosted by an America East school throughout the fall. The majority of contests will appear AmericaEast.TV, the place to watch free live content on any device, including the network's Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire and Android TV OTT channels. Select contests will air on ESPN+/3, home to over 40 America East school-produced events this fall. Full AEonESPN Fall Schedule #AEMSOC: New Hampshire, fresh off winning its first-ever America East men’s soccer title in 2018, has picked up where it left off last season. The Wildcats are ranked 18th in the latest United Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 have not lost through their first six games (4-0-2). UNH is one of 20 remaining unbeaten teams in the nation. #AEMSOC teams are collectively red hot, going a combined 15-5-1 since Sept. 9 with all eight programs having won at least one game in that span. UNH men's soccer has been nationally ranked each of the past three years. #AEFH: Three America East field hockey teams have been ranked as one point this season with a pair currently slotted among the top 20 teams in the nation, according to the latest NFHCA national poll. Stanford rose up to #16 this week while UAlbany ascended to #20. The Cardinal are led by reigning America East Offensive Player of the Year Corinne Zanolli, who has scored 12 goals so far this season, the most in the nation. Maine - The Black Bears' 4-2 record is their best to start a season since 2015. UAlbany - The reigning league champion Great Danes are unbeaten in their last four games (3-0-1). Stony Brook - Three of the Seawolves' five wins over come at home in overtime. A rematch of last year's America East semifinals between Hartford and UAlbany highlights the start of conference play. The Great Danes beat the Hawks last Oct. 28, 2-1, en route to winning the conference title. #AEWSOC teams will begin fighting for the standings position as league play begins. #AEVB: Despite saying good bye to long time head coach, Jill Hirshinger, UNH has not been slowed down.Hirshinger retired after 40 seasons and 781 wins on the bench for the Wildcats, but first-year head coach Christopher Feliciano hasn't missed a beat. UNH is 8-3 to start the season, its best 11-match start since 1997. New Hampshire volleyball is experiencing its best start to a season in 22 years.
