New Hampshire Sweeps #AEXC Week #3 Awards
BOSTON – A light week in America East cross country featured New Hampshire sweeping a dual meet between conference foe Maine in Orono and UMBC competing in the Navy Invitational.
Here are the conference's week #3 award winners of the 2019 season:
#AEXC Weekly Award Winners – Sept. 18
Female Performer of the Week
Meg Champagne, New Hampshire – Sr., Plattsburgh, N.Y.
- Won the 5K dual meet between UNH and Maine to lead the team to victory.
- Finished the race in 18:58 as the Wildcats notched a perfect score of 15.
- This is Champagne’s first Performer of the Week honor this season and second overall.
Male Performer of the Week
Forest MacKenzie, New Hampshire – Fr., Deerfield, N.H.
- Ran the 8K course in 25:45 en route to victory.
- Paced the Wildcats to a perfect score.
- This is MacKenzie’s first Performer of the Week award of his career.
