Hat Tricks for Caron, Zanolli Highlight #AEFH Week #3 Awards
BOSTON – #AEFH teams combined to go 11-8 last week with several marquee wins over top-25 opponents. New Hampshire upset #18 Stanford in a cross-divisional non-conference contest 3-2 in Durham. It was the lone loss of the week for the Cardinal, who defeated #10 Harvard on Thursday in a shootout.
Sixteen games lie ahead this week, the first of which features #20 UAlbany visiting Colgate tonight at 5:30 p.m.

#AEFH Weekly Award Winners – Sept. 17
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Finn Caron, New Hampshire – So., Forward, Hampton, N.H.
- Guided UNH to a perfect week behind eight points.
- Caron scored a goal against #18 Stanford and followed that with a hat trick against Brown.
- This is her first career Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Corinne Zanolli, Stanford – Jr., Attack, Newtown Square, Pa.
- Led Stanford to a 3-1 week behind an offensive explosion of 13 points on six goals and an assist.
- Found the back of the cage in the Cardinal’s upset of #10 Harvard and tallied a hat trick in win over Vermont.
- This is Zanolli’s second consecutive Offensive Player of the Week and fourth of her career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Chelsea Bigelow, UC Davis – Sr., Goalkeeper, San Diego, Calif.
- Compiled a .894 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average in a 1-1 week.
- Made 14 saves in overtime loss against #8 Louisville before shutting out Central Michigan.
- This is Bigelow’s first Defensive Player of the Week award of her career.
Rookie of the Week
Sofie Knook, UMass Lowell – Fr., Back, Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Scored both goals in the River Hawks’ 2-1 win at Ball State.
- Knook converted on two of her three shots to end UMass Lowell’s road trip on a high note.
- This is Knook’s first Rookie of the Week nod.
