Reinhardt Starts Strong; #AEXC Week #2 Awards Revealed

BOSTON – UAlbany, Binghamton, Hartford, UMass Lowell and Vermont all began their 2019 cross country seasons last weekend. Maine and Hartford both competed in the Sanchez Southern Invitational while Vermont and UMass Lowell went head-to-head with the Catamounts coming out on top in the team scoring in St. Albans.
 
Here are the conference's week #2 award winners of the 2019 season:
 
#AEXC Weekly Award Winners – Sept. 11
Female Performer of the Week
Hannah Reinhardt, UAlbany – Sr., Clarence, N.Y.
  • Won the Siena Invitational in 18:03.80 for a fifth individual victory in her last seven races.
  • Reinhardt’s 5K time was a full twenty three and-a-half seconds ahead of the runner-up.
 
Male Performer of the Week
Vann Moffett, Stony Brook – Sr., Niantic, Conn.
  • Finished third in the Wolfie Invitational.
  • He ran the 8K course in 24:38.14.
