Four #AETF standouts will compete in the 2019 NCAA Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas beginning June 5. It is the fourth time in the last five years America East will be represented by a quartet on the sport’s biggest stage.

UAlbany senior Venique Harris enters the national championships with the sixth-best qualifying mark in the discus throw at 57.94m. It is an improvement from the 54.28m toss that broke a 25 year-old America East championship record at the beginning of the month. She was named Most Outstanding Female Field Performer as a result.

Fellow Great Dane Devon Willis will compete at national championships in the men’s triple jump. The senior won the event at the conference championships.

UMass Lowell graduate student Paul Hogan heads to NCAAs holding a top-ten seed in the men’s 10,000-meter run. Hogan also attempted to qualify in the 5,000m at national championships but did not meet the mark. Hogan is no stranger to the national stage after running in NCAA Cross Country Championships in 2017.

Alexios Prodanas represents UMBC in the hammer throw and will make his national championship debut.

The four-day event will be streamed on ESPN networks. Event-by-event streaming information.
