Hartford, UMBC, Vermont Net League Wins, #AEMLAX Awards
BOSTON – Vermont’s first win over UAlbany since 2011 highlighted week #4 #AEMLAX action. With the win, the Catamounts moved into a tie for first place with the Great Danes at 3-1 in conference play. Also last week, Hartford beat UMass Lowell, 14-11, and UMBC downed Binghamton, 13-6.
This week, UAlbany (3-1) hosts UMBC (1-2) while Binghamton (0-3) welcomes Vermont (3-1) and Stony Brook (2-1) visits UMass Lowell (1-2).

Offensive Player of the Week
Ty Thompson, Hartford – Jr., Attacker, Nepean, Ontario
- Racked up six points in Hartford’s win over UMass Lowell Saturday.
- Had two goals and four assists.
- This is Thompson’s first Offensive Player honor of the season and his career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Tommy Lingner, UMBC – So., Goalkeeper, Fort Salonga, N.Y.
- Made a season-high 13 saves and allowed a season-low six goals in UMBC’s win over Binghamton Saturday.
- Racked up a .684 save percentage.
- This is Lingner’s first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season and third of his career.
Rookie of the Week
Sal Iaria, Vermont – Fr., Midfielder, Bainbridge Island, Wash.
- Tallied four points in Vermont’s win over UAlbany Saturday.
- Had two goals and two assists.
- Scored the tying goal with 3:37 left in the fourth quarter and set up the game winner with 2:04 left.
- This is Iaria’s first #AEMLAX Rookie of the Week honor.
