Maine Nabs Trio of #AEBASE Weekly Awards on Heels of Series Sweep
BOSTON – Maine captured the lone sweep of the weekend to climb a few rungs in the #AEBASE standings. UAlbany and Stony Brook also secured series victories in league play.
The first-place Seawolves (9-3) host the Great Danes (6-6) this weekend as second-place Hartford (6-3) returns to action at UMBC (3-9). UMass Lowell (4-8) hosts Binghamton (4-4).

Player of the Week
Cody Pasic, Maine – Jr., C, Cotuit, Mass.
- Hit .545 in three-game sweep of UMass Lowell.
- Completed the week with a .583 on-base percentage while driving in a team-high six RBI.
- This is his first career #AEBASE weekly award.
Co-Pitcher of the Week
Ben Anderson, Binghamton – Jr., RHP, Rexford, N.Y.
- Pitched a seven-inning shutout to guide the Bearcats to a win over Stony Brook.
- Anderson struck out nine while walking one.
- This is his third Pitcher of the Week award this season.
Co-Pitcher of the Week
Cody Laweryson, Maine – Jr., RHP, Moscow, Maine
- Pitched a seven-inning shutout against UMass Lowell.
- Fanned eight batters while surrendering four hits and just a single walk.
- This is his first career #AEBASE award.
Rookie of the Week
Jake Roper, Maine – Fr., CF, Bethel, Conn.
- Slashed .286/.444/.714 in three games.
- Scored a run in each of Maine’s three wins against the River Hawks.
- This is his first career #AEBASE award.
