Stony Brook Secures #AEWLAX Postseason Berth and Sweeps Week 9 Awards
BOSTON – Stony Brook became the first #AEWLAX team to clinch a berth in the 2019 conference championship. The Seawolves defeated two ranked teams this past week, No. 19 Johns Hopkins, 12-9, and No. 14 USC, 12-10. They also beat UAlbany 17-9 and became the only undefeated #AEWLAX team.
The Seawolves (5-0) sit atop the league standings with two weeks remaining in the season, followed by UAlbany (4-1), New Hampshire (4-1), UMBC (3-2), Binghamton (2-3), UMass Lowell (1-4), Vermont (1-4), and Hartford (0-5).

- Held Johns Hopkins and UAlbany to 9 goals and USC to 10.
- This is Tesoriero's third Defensive Player of the Week of the year.
Rookie of the Week
Bridget Considine, Stony Brook - Fr., Attack, Rockville Centre, NY
- Scored 2 goals and had 2 assists in 3-0 week for the Seawolves.
- Also had 1 ground ball and a caused turnover.
