Albany, UMass Lowell, Stony Brook Earn #AEMLAX Wins

BOSTON – Week #3 of #AEMLAX play saw UAlbany, UMass Lowell and Stony Brook pick up conference wins as the Great Danes beat Hartford, 14-10, the River Hawks downed Vermont, 8-4, and the Seawolves beat Binghamton, 13-6.
 
This week, UAlbany, which sits atop the standings at 3-0, visits Vermont (2-1) while UMBC (0-2) hosts Binghamton (0-2) and UMass Lowell (1-1) visits Hartford (1-2).

The majority of #AEMLAX games will appear on AmericaEast.TV, the place to watch free live content on any device, including the network's Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire and Android TV OTT channels. Offensive Player of the Week
Tom Haun, Stony Brook – Sr., Attacker, Ronkonkama, N.Y.
  • Tallied seven points in Stony Brook’s win over Binghamton Friday.
  • Had a career-high six goals and an assist.
  • This is Haun's second Offensive Player honor of the season and third of his career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Grant Lardieri, UMass Lowell – Sr., Goalkeeper, Ada, Mich.
  • Made a career-high 22 saves in UMass Lowell’s 8-4 win over Vermont.
  • Racked up an .846 save percentage.
  • The 22 stops were the most by an America East goalkeeper since the 2005 season.
  • This is Lardieri’s first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season and second of his career.
Rookie of the Week
Brandon Galloway, UMBC – Fr., Faceoff Specialist, Grasonville, Md.
  • Won 20-of-23 faceoffs in UMBC’s win over Lafayette.
  • Picked up 16 ground balls and scored a goal.
  • The 20 faceoffs and 16 grounds balls were the most by a UMBC player in five seasons.
  • This is Galloway’s first #AEMLAX Rookie of the Week honor.
