Three Earn #AESB Week #3 Accolades

BOSTON – All four #AESB programs in action last weekend picked up wins, including UAlbany, Maine, UMBC and UMass Lowell.

The majority of #AESB games will appear AmericaEast.TV, the place to watch free live content on any device, including the network's Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire and Android TV OTT channels. Select will air on ESPN+ or ESPN3, home to over 250 America East school-produced events this year.

Here are the conference's third weekly award winners of 2019:

Offensive Player of the Week
Courtney Cashman, UMass Lowell – Jr., Shortstop, Danvers, Mass.
  • Hit .467 with a .529 on-base percentage and a .933 slugging percentage in five games last week.
  • Slugged a pair of home runs, drove in four runs and scored three.
  • This is Cashman’s first Player of the Week honor of the season and third of her career.
Pitcher of the Week
Courtney Coppersmith, UMBC – Fr., Pitcher, York Pa.
  • Went 1-0 after allowing just two earned runs on only four hits over 8 2/3 innings pitched last week.
  • Struck out a whopping 19 hitters, 15.3 per seven innings.
  • This is Coppersmith’s first career Pitcher of the Week honor.
Rookie of the Week
Grace McGouldrick, Maine – Fr., Utility, Gorham, Maine
  • Racked up a 1.319 OPS in five games.
  • Had seven hits, including a home run and a double, while driving in five runs and scoring three.
  • This is McGouldrick’s first career #AESB Rookie of the Week honor.
