Final Indoor #AETF Weekly Awards Bestowed Ahead of Championships
BOSTON – Final tune-ups headlined the past week on the track and field preceding the 2019 America East Track and Field Championships. The next stop for teams is the Boston University Track and Tennis Center where the championships begin on Friday. The two-day event will be streamed live on AmericaEast.tv.

Here are the conference’s final weekly award winners:
Female Track Performer of the Week
Erin Patrice, UMBC – Sr., Sprints, Baltimore
- Finished the 60-meter dash at the Penn State Tune-Up in 7.66.
- Her time ranks third in America East this season.
- This is her first Performer of the Week award of 2019.
Male Track Performer of the Week
Greg Matzelle, Binghamton – Jr., Sprints, Franklin Square, N.Y.
- Won the 60-meter dash at the Mark DeNault Invitational.
- His time of 6.86 is faster than any other #AETF student-athlete has run this indoor season.
- This is his first Performer of the Week award this season.
Female Field Performer of the Week
Brooke Bonney, Binghamton – Sr., Throws, Norwich, N.Y.
- Won the weight throw at the Mark DeNault Invitational.
- Her throw of 19.80m earned her fourth victory in the event on the season.
- This is her second consecutive #AETF award.
Male Field Performer of the Week
Alexios Prodanas, UMBC – Jr., Throws, Kilkis, Greece
- Prodanas hit 21.26m on the tape in the weight throw at the Penn State Tune-Up.
- His toss ranks first in America East and 15th in the country.
- This is the third time this season he has earned Performer of the Week honors.
