Stony Brook Wins for 7th Time in 8 Games; Week #5 #AEHoops Honors Announced
BOSTON – Stony Brook stayed hot last week, winning twice to improve to 7-1 in its last eight games. Additionally, Elijah Olaniyi was one of several #AEHoops standouts to notch a career-high scoring output last week. Olaniyi scored 30 points in Stony Brook's win over Brown on Saturday and was joined by Binghamton’s Sam Sessoms (40 points in win vs. Boston U.) and Hartford's Moses Flowers (28 points vs. St. Francis Brooklyn) as players to net career highs.

Elijah Olaniyi, Stony Brook - Jr., Guard, Newark, N.J.
- Averaged 23.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in a 2-0 week for Stony Brook.
- Shot 57 percent from the floor (17-of-30).
- Scored a career-high 30 points in the Seawolves' win over Brown on Saturday.
- This is Olaniyi's first #AEHoops Player of the Week honor of his career.
Rookie of the Week
Moses Flowers, Hartford - Fr., Guard, Dorchester, Mass.
- Averaged 17.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals in two games last week.
- Scored 28 points vs. St. Francis Brooklyn, the most for a Hartford freshman since 2002.
- This is Flowers' first career #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor.
