#AEMSOC Standouts Bauer & Colacci Named All-Americans
New Hampshire standouts Josh Bauer and Antonio Colacci were named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men’s All-America Team, the organization announced Thursday evening. Bauer earned first-team honors while Colacci was a third-team choice.
A repeat selection, Bauer is just the third #AEMSOC standout to earn first-team honors joining UMass Lowell’s Wuilito Fernandes (2016) and Pete Caringi III (2014). A second-team choice a year ago, the junior defender once again won America East Defender of the Year honors and was named Most Outstanding Player at the #AEMSOC Championship for a second-straight year after leading UNH to its second-consecutive league crown.
Colacci, an All-American for the first time, was named America East Midfielder of the Year after ranking among league leaders with 23 points. The senior midfielder was also a first-team All-Conference and All-Championship selection.
Bauer and Colacci are the first pair of Wildcats to earn All-America honors in the same season. America East has now had multiple All-Americans in three of the last four years.
The duo headlined 14 #AEMSOC standouts who earned All-Region status in 2019. Full listing
