Moon Scores 1,000th Career Point, Guides Binghamton to Sixth-Straight Win

BOSTON – Binghamton continues to have the hot hand in women’s #AEHoops as the Bearcats won a pair of road games last week to improve to 6-0. Their current six-game win streak is the team’s longest in two years. Stony Brook also won two games last week, improving to 5-1 on the season. Both aforementioned teams are 3-0 on their home courts to this point.
 
Binghamton senior Kai Moon scored 22 points against Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, becoming the third active #AEHoops player to score 1,000 career points.

Player of the Week
Kai Moon, Binghamton – Sr., Guard, Chicago, Ill.
  • Averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and shot 50 percent from long distance to help Binghamton to a pair of road wins.
  • Scored 22 points behind five threes against Fairleigh Dickinson while also eclipsing the 1,000-point mark for her career.
  • This is her second Player of the Week honor for the season and her career.
 
Rookie of the Week
Lyric Swann, UMBC – Fr., Guard, Elkridge, Md.
  • Averaged 11.0 points on 35 percent shooting in a pair of games.
  • Scored 16 points behind 50 percent shooting on the road at Mount St. Mary’s.
  • This is her first career #AEHoops weekly award.
