BOSTON – Stony Brook and Binghamton both extended their win streaks last week with the Seawolves winning their fifth a row and the Bearcats running their streak to three games.

Here are week #3 men’s basketball awards:

Player of the Week
Sam Sessoms, Binghamton – So., Guard, Philadelphia, Pa.
  • Averaged 24.5 points., 7.5 rebounds. & 6.0 assists in a 2-0 week for Binghamton.
  • Had a season-high 33 points, including 27 in the second half, and also added 12 rebounds and five assists in a comeback win at NJIT on Wednesday.
  • Hit the game-winning layup with 2.2 second left.
  • Had 16 points and seven assists in a win over Army on Saturday.
  • This is Sessoms’ first #AEHoops Player of the Week honor of his career.
Rookie of the Week
Brenton Mills, Binghamton – Fr., Guard, Allen, Texas
  • Averaged 16.0 points per game in a 2-0 week for Binghamton.
  • Shot 52 percent from the field (11-of-21).
  • Had 17 points in a win over NJIT on Wednesday and added 15 in Saturday’s win over Army.
  • This is Mills’ first career #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor.
