Week 6 #AESD Awards Handed Out to UMBC, Stony Brook & Vermont
BOSTON – Binghamton, UMBC, Stony Brook and VMI all competed in swimming and diving events last week. UMBC had victories in both the men’s and women’s programs against VMI. Next week seven programs will be competing in invites including both Maine and Vermont at the Harold Anderson Invitational.
Here are the weekly awards:
Female Swimmer of the Week
Michal Liberman, Stony Brook – Gr., Back/Fly, Rosh Haayin, Israel
- Captured two individual events, 100 back with a time of 58.68 and the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.90.
- Also was a part of the winning 400 medley relay and 200 free relay.
- This Liberman’s second #AESD Swimmer of the Week award this season.
Male Swimmer of the Week
Ilia Rattsev, UMBC – Sr., Sprint/Mid Free, Moscow, Russia
- Won the 500 in a time of 4:34.81.
- Also was a part of the winning 400 medley relay and the 200 free relay.
- This is Rattsev’s second #AESD Swimmer of the Week award this season.
Female Diver of the Week
Emily Murphy, Vermont – Jr., Diver, Greenwich, Conn.
- Won the 3 meter event with a score of 233.34.
- Won the 1 meter event with a score of 221.62.
- This is Murphy’s third #AESD Diver of the Week award this season.
Male Diver of the Week
Will Henrickson, UMBC – Fr., Diver, Ellicott City, Md.
- Won the 3 meter event with a score of 197.02.
- Won the 1 meter event with a score of 219.22.
- This is Henerickson’s first #AESD Diver of the Week award this season.
