Binghamton's 4-0 Start, First-Time Recipients Highlight #AEHoops Week #2 Honors

BOSTON – Paced by preseason all-conference guard Kai Moon, the Binghamton Bearcats are off to their best start in 20 years and are 4-0 for the first time in the program’s Division I era. Moon leads the entire country averaging 27.8 points per game.

Here are the conference’s week #2 women’s basketball awards of the 2019-20 season:
 
Player of the Week
Josie Larkins, Vermont – Jr., Guard, Lincroft, N.J.
  • Poured in a career-high 29 points on 67 percent shooting in Vermont’s win over Bryant.
  • Larkins made eight of her 13 three-point attempts and scored 13 straight points to start the fourth quarter.
  • This is her first career Player of the Week honor.
 
Rookie of the Week
Denai Bowman, Binghamton – Fr., Guard, Clinton, Md.
  • Averaged 7.5 points and 4.5 rebounds behind a big performance against Niagara.
  • Bowman scored 13 points on 60 percent shooting and grabbed six rebounds to help the Bearcats to a 4-0 start.
  • This is her first career #AEHoops weekly award.
