Reinhardt, Avery Impress at Paul Short, Net #AEXC Week #6 Awards

BOSTON – All but two #AEXC programs were at Lehigh University competing in the Paul Short Run last weekend. A pair of top-ten finishers out of nearly 400 runners in the gold races headlined strong performances. Stony Brook and UMass Lowell finished in the top-ten in men’s team scoring while New Hampshire women mirrored that success.
 
Here are the conference's week #6 award winners of the 2019 season:
 
#AEXC Weekly Award Winners – Oct. 9
Female Performer of the Week
Hannah Reinhardt, UAlbany – Sr., Clarence, N.Y.
  • Placed third overall at the Paul Short Run out of nearly 400 runners.
  • Reinhardt’s time of 19:44.2 broke a school record for a 6K.
  • This is her third weekly honor this season.
 
Male Performer of the Week
Cameron Avery, Stony Brook – Sr., Christchurch, New Zealand
  • Finished sixth in the Paul Short gold run.
  • Avery finished the 8K in 23:34.75 to lead Stony Brook to fourth place in team scoring.
  • This is his second Performer of the Week award in three weeks.
