Murdock Wins NEICAA Championships, #AEXC Weekly Award

BOSTON – Franklin Park was the meeting ground for America East cross country programs that competed last week in the New England Championships. New Hampshire led the way with three top-five finishers in the women’s 5K varsity race, which the Wildcats won with 63 total points. The men from Maine finished tenth out of 25 teams competing.
 
Here are the conference's week #7 award winners of the 2019 season:
 
#AEXC Weekly Award Winners – Oct. 16
Female Performer of the Week
Shannon Murdock, New Hampshire – Gr., Exeter, N.H.
  • Won the NEICAAA cross country championships at Franklin Park.
  • Her time of 17:36.7 led UNH to victory in women’s team scoring.
  • This is Murdock’s first Performer of the Week nod of the season.
 
Male Performer of the Week
Jacob Terry, Maine – Sr., Scarborough, Maine
  • Finished 20th out of 170 runners at New England championships.
  • Terry completed the 8K in 25:28.6.
  • This is his second Performer of the Week award in three weeks.
