After another historic year in 2018, Stony Brook is the unanimous America East favorite. It’s the seventh-straight year Stony Brook has been tabbed the preseason choice by the conference’s head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own team.

Stony Brook, which is ranked No. 5 in the preseason national poll after going 20-1 last season, received all seven possible first-place votes and 49 points. UAlbany came in second with 41 points and the final first-place vote, while Binghamton earned 33 points.

Stony Brook advanced to the quarterfinals for the second time in program history last season and nearly reached the Final Four, falling to No. 4 Boston College, 12-11.
