Hogan Runs Well at BU; #AETF Week #5 Awards Revealed
BOSTON – New Hampshire swept a home quad meet on Saturday against Maine, Vermont and Dartmouth. UAlbany competed in the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge with the likes of BYU, Florida State, Ohio State and UCLA, among others.
Here are the conference’s weekly award winners:
Female Track Performer of the Week
Lauren Trumble, Vermont – Sr., Distance, Ithaca, N.Y.
- Won the 1,000-meter invitational race at the Penn State National Open.
- She finished in 2:50.32, nearly three seconds ahead of the pack.
- This is her second consecutive Performer of the Week award.
Male Track Performer of the Week
Paul Hogan, UMass Lowell – Gr., Distance, Burlington, Mass.
- Placed third in the 3,000-meter run at the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic.
- His time of 7:58.00 ranks 19th in the country.
- This is his second #AETF honor of the season.
Female Field Performer of the Week
Victoria Stoffel, UAlbany – Sr., High Jump, Manhattan, N.Y.
- Placed fourth in the high jump at the Dr. Sander Columbia Challenge.
- Cleared 1.70m for the first time this season.
- This is her first #AETF award this season.
Male Field Performer of the Week
Jack Fitzgerald, Binghamton – Jr., Jumps, Ballston Spa, N.Y.
- Won the men’s high jump at the Cornell/Kane Invitational.
- Cleared 2.04m which is tied for tops in the conference.
- This is his first Performer of the Week honor of the season.
