BOSTON – Coming off of its first-ever trip to NCAA Championship Weekend, UAlbany’s men’s lacrosse program is again the America East preseason favorite in 2018. It’s the seventh-straight year UAlbany has been tabbed the preseason choice by the conference’s head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own team.

The Great Danes, who became the second #AEMLAX program to reach championship weekend last year, received three first-place votes and 33 points to barely edge out second-place Stony Brook, which also earned three first-place tallies and 32 points. Vermont, which reached its second league title game in three years a season ago was third with 25 points while UMBC was fourth with 23 points and earned the final first-place vote.
