UNH Beats Arizona State, Hartford Stays Hot, Week 3 Awards Unveiled
BOSTON – America East women’s soccer teams have three wins over Pac-12 schools this season after New Hampshire’s 2-1 win at Arizona State on Friday. Earlier this year, Albany beat Arizona and Stony Brook downed Oregon State. Elsewhere, Hartford improved to 5-1 with three wins last week and has outscored opponents 17-4 this year.

Here are the conference's week #3 award winners:
Offensive Player of the Week
Kaila Lozada, Hartford – Jr., Forward, Newington, Conn.
- Had a goal and two assists in a pair of Hartford wins last week.
- Factored in both goals with a score and an assist in the Hawks’ 2-1 victory over Holy Cross Thursday.
- Picked up her league-leading fourth assist of the year in a 2-0 win over Lafayette Sunday.
- This is Lozada’s first #AEWSOC Offensive Player of the Week award of the season and first of her career.
Defensive Player of the Week
Mia Neas, New Hampshire – Sr., Goalkeeper, Old Saybrook, Conn.
- Made six saves in two games vs. Pac 12 teams last week.
- Led UNH to a win over Arizona State Friday by making three saves.
- This is Neas’ first career Defensive Player of the Week honor. She was named Player of the Week twice last season on Sept. 18 and Oct. 2.
Rookie of the Week
Julia Mahoney, Maine – Fr., Midfielder, St.-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Quebec
- Racked up five points, the first of her collegiate career, to lead Maine to a 4-2 win over Bryant Sunday, its first victory of 2018.
- Scored twice, including the game winner, and had an assist vs. the Bulldogs.
- This is Mahoney’s first #AEWSOC Rookie of the Week award of her career.
