BOSTON – #AEVB conference play started over the weekend with Stony Brook, New Hampshire and Binghamton earning wins. Six more conference games take place this upcoming weekend.

Player of the Week
Maria Poole, Stony Brook – Jr., OH, Stavanger, Norway
- Notched 10 kills while marking a league-best .625 hitting percentage.
- Added three digs and three blocks in sweep over Hartford, 3-0.
- This is Poole’s first career #AEVB Player of the Week award.
Setter of the Week
LeAnne Sakowicz, Stony Brook – Jr., Setter, Wauconda, Ill.
- Tallied 41 assists averaging league-best 13.67 assists per set.
- Paced Stony Brook to a league-best .297 hitting percentage.
- Added 5 digs and a block in Stony Brook’s 3-0 sweep over Hartford.
- This is Sakowicz’s sixth career #AEVB Setter of the Week award.
Defensive Specialist of the Week
Nicole Otero, UAlbany – Sr., DS, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico
- Set a new season-high with an impressive 8.33 digs per set.
- Helped guide UAlbany to its third sweep in five matches.
- This is Otero’s 18th career #AEVB Defensive Specialist of the Week honor.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Grace Cozad, UAlbany – Fr., OH., Vienna, VA.
- Earned a career-high 13 kills.
- Hit .417 averaging 4.33 kills per set.
- Started all three sets in the Great Danes 3-0 sweep over Siena.
- This is Cozad’s first #AEVB Rookie of the Week award of her career.
Co-Rookie of the Week
Maddie Wiedenfeld, New Hampshire – Fr., MB., Omaha, NE.
- Recorded a match-high 11 kills.
- Committed just one error on 18 attacks for a .556 hitting percentage.
- This is Wiedenfeld’s third #AEVB Rookie of the Week award of her career.
