Stony Brook Sweeps #AEXC Week #4 Awards

BOSTON – #AEXC teams gravitated to the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown last weekend. Stony Brook’s men’s and women’s teams had impressive showings, finishing seventh and thirteenth, respectively. UMass Lowell, New Hampshire and Vermont also competed in the annual Boston meet.
 
Here are this week’s conference awards:
 
Female Performer of the Week
Annika Sisson, Stony Brook – Sr., Pittsburgh, Pa.
  • Finished 18th out of 216 runners at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown.
  • Ran the 5K in 17:43.8.
  • Stony Brook placed 13th amongst nationally ranked teams.
  • This is Sisson’s first #AEXC award of the season.
 
Male Performer of the Week
Cameron Avery, Stony Brook – Jr., Christchurch, New Zealand
  • Led Stony Brook to a seventh-place finish out of 23 teams at the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown.
  • Completed the 8K race in 24:32.9.
  • Finished 18th overall.
  • This is the junior’s first #AEXC award of the season.
