Albany Women, UMass Lowell Men Win Pre-Conference Meet; Week #2 Awards Announced
BOSTON – For the first time in program history, Stony Brook men’s cross country received votes in the NCAA Division I National Coaches’ Poll. The Seawolves won the Wolfie Invitational this past weekend after winning the Wolfie Invitational to begin the season.
Three #AEXC programs competed at the Pre-Conference Meet at Mine Falls Park, the site of the 2018 America East Cross Country Championships. Albany secured the top-two finishes in the women’s race en route to victory. UMass Lowell took three of the top-five spots and the River Hawks topped the men’s team scoring by a wide margin. It was Binghamton’s first meet of the season while Hartford opened their season at Dartmouth College.

Female Performer of the Week
Hannah Reinhardt, Albany – Jr., Clarence, N.Y.
- Won the Pre-Conference Meet to lead the Great Danes to victory.
- Her time of 17:02.0 is a school record for a 5K.
- Finished more than thirty seconds ahead of the next closest finisher.
- This is Reinhardt’s second consecutive #AEXC award.
Male Performer of the Week
Aaron Willingham, Maine – Jr., Farmington, Maine
- Finished seventh at the Sanchez Souther Invitational 8K at Dartmouth College.
- Crossed the finish line in a time of 25:02.59.
- Averaged a 5:02.3 mile, shaving eight seconds off his mile time.
- This is Willingham’s first Performer of the Week award this season and second of his career.
