Maine, UMBC, Stony Brook Win Weekend Series; #AEBASE Week 7 Awards Bestowed
BOSTON – Maine, UMBC and Stony Brook all won series against conference foes last weekend are tied atop the #AEBASE standings. Maine has won four straight games after sweeping Albany.

Player of the Week
Nick Grande, Stony Brook – So., SS, Smithtown, N.Y.
- Hit .533 in 3-1 week for Seawolves, including series win over UMass Lowell.
- Scored six runs, knocked in three runs and hit a trio of doubles.
- This is Grande’s second consecutive Player of the Week award.
Pitcher of the Week
Nathan Florence, Hartford – So., RHP, Wilbraham, Mass.
- Pitched seven shutout innings, earning win against Central Connecticut.
- Struck out a career-high 12 batters while allowing just one walk and four hits.
- This is his first #AEBASE award of the season.
Rookie of the Week
Joey Goodwin, UMBC – Fr., 1B, Rockville, Md.
- Hit .500 in four games for the Retrievers, including series victory over Binghamton.
- Drove in two runs and scored a pair.
- This is the first #AEBASE honor of Goodwin’s career.
