With its 21-8 win over Albany Saturday, #1 Stony Brook (17-0, 6-0 AE) clinched the regular season title and earned the right to host the #AEWLAX Championship. It is the sixth consecutive season and seventh time in program history the Seawolves have clinched at least a share of the regular season crown. The nation’s top-ranked team in the Inside Lacrosse and IWLCA Coaches polls became the first America East women’s lacrosse team to complete an undefeated regular season. They have won 28 straight regular season games dating back to 2017. The Seawolves will aim to win their sixth consecutive championship, which would tie them with Boston University for most consecutive titles in conference history.

Albany (8-8, 6-1 AE) clinched the #2 seed in the championship for the sixth-straight year. The Great Danes will make their 12th consecutive appearance in the tournament and look to appear in their eighth straight championship game. They have lost to Stony Brook in the title game in each of the last six seasons. Albany is seeking its third America East Women’s Lacrosse Championship in program history and first since 2012.

Binghamton (8-8, 5-2 AE) earned the #3 seed and will make its first postseason appearance in school history. The Bearcats’ 13-7 win at home against New Hampshire on the final day of the regular season was the deciding factor in earning the third seed in the championship. Their 5-2 record in league play is the Bearcats' best mark since joining the conference. New Hampshire was the last #3 seed to play in the championship game in 2009. The #3 seed has never won the championship.

New Hampshire (6-10, 4-3 AE) rounds out the field as the #4 seed and will make its fifth tournament appearance in the last six years. The Wildcats are searching for their first championship game appearance since 2009. Albany was the last four-seed to appear in the title game, winning the crown in 2012.
