BOSTON – Three of the four bids to the 2018 America East Men’s Lacrosse Championship are set with one week to go in the regular season. Albany, Stony Brook and Vermont have all secured spots in the championship while UMBC and UMass Lowell remain alive for the final bid. A UMBC win at Vermont Friday would give it a trip to the tournament while a Vermont win would send the River Hawks to the championship in their first year of eligibility.

The championship will take place May 4-6 at the top seed. Albany and Stony Brook are tied atop the standings at 4-1 with the Great Danes holding the tiebreaker between the two teams.

Albany was ranked first in the second NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Committee Top 10 rankings released over the weekend. The Great Danes fell to #5 in both national polls following a 1-1 week, which included a loss to #5 Yale.
