Ohlmiller's 18 Points Highlight #AEWLAX Week 6 Awards

BOSTON – Behind another 2-0 week, No. 1 Stony Brook (7-0) is atop the Inside Lacrosse Poll and IWLCA Coaches Poll for the fourth consecutive week. The Seawolves’ latest triumph featured another victory over a ranked opponent as the nation’s top team defeated No. 13 Towson at home on Saturday.
 
Stony Brook has the top defense in the nation, allowing 7.2 goals per game and now has a top-10 offense, scoring 15.57 goals per contest. Junior goalkeeper Anna Tesoriero leads the national rankings with a 7.25 goals against average. 2017 Tewaaraton Finalist Kylie Ohlmiller leads the country in points per game while teammates Taryn Ohlmiller and Courtney Murphy also reside in the top-10. UMBC junior Sara Moeller ranks second in the nation with 6.25 points per contest.

Offensive Player of the Week
Kylie Ohlmiller, Stony Brook – Sr., Attack, Islip, N.Y.
  • Recorded 18 points in two wins last week for the Seawolves.
  • Totaled six goals and four assists at Delaware followed by a seven goal performance against No. 13 Towson.
  • Ohlmiller is 34 assists shy from the NCAA Division I record.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Anna Tesoriero, Stony Brook – Jr., Goalkeeper, Huntington, N.Y.
  • Averaged 8.28 goals against in a pair of Stony Brook wins.
  • Made five saves against Delaware and four against Towson.
  • It is her second consecutive #AEWLAX Defensive Player of the Week award.
 
Rookie of the Week
Kendra Harbinger, Albany – Fr., Midfielder, Clifton Park, N.Y.
  • Totaled seven goals in 1-1 week for Great Danes.
  • Scored a hat trick in Albany’s win over Fresno State.
  • This is her third Rookie of the Week award this season.
