Vermont MBB Keeps Rolling, Week #13 #AEHoops Awards Handed Out
BOSTON – Vermont (9-0 AE) continues to roll in #AEHoops men’s basketball play. The Catamounts, winners of 12 in a row overall, extended their league-record conference win streak to 30 games, the longest-active win streak in the country, with road wins at Binghamton and UMBC last week. Hartford (7-3), winner of three straight, is tied for second place with UMBC (7-3), winners of five of its last seven. Albany (6-4) moved into fourth place with its win over New Hampshire (5-5). The top four teams in the #AEHoops standings at the end of the year will host quarterfinal contests of the #AEPlayoffs.
Vermont will head to Albany on Thursday for a rematch of last season’s championship game, which will air nationally on ESPNU at 7 p.m. The two teams have combined to win 11 of the conference’s last 15 titles.

Player of the Week
Joe Cremo, Albany – Jr., Guard, Scotia, N.Y.
- Scored a career-high 31 points in Albany’s lone game of the week, a win vs. New Hampshire.
- Grabbed six rebounds and handed out three assists.
- Shot 67 percent (8-of-12) from the field, 57 percent from three-point land (4-of-7) and 11-of-14 from the free throw line.
- This is Cremo’s third Player of the Week honor of the season (12/11, 11/27) and fifth of his career.
Rookie of the Week
Obadiah Noel, UMass Lowell – Fr., Guard, Frederick, Md.
- Scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds in UMass Lowell’s lone game of the week, a win at Maine.
- Shot 50 percent (4-of-8) from the field.
- This is Noel’s fourth Rookie of the Week honor of the season (1/22, 12/26, 11/13).
