Stony Brook Concludes Impressive Non-League Slate, Sweeps #AEHoops Awards
BOSTON – New Year’s Eve marks the final day of the non-conference schedule as women's #AEHoops conference play begins Wednesday with four games. Stony Brook finished its non-league slate with an 11-2 record, included an unblemished 7-0 record at home.
The 81-game conference slate kicks off on Wednesday with four games. For the first time in over 20 years, the top four teams in the standings will host #AEPlayoffs games in March.

Shania Johnson, Stony Brook – Sr., Guard, Frederick, Md.
- Scored season-high 28 points to lead Stony Brook to victory against St. Francis Brooklyn.
- She grabbed seven rebounds and dished out eight assists.
- This is Johnson’s fourth Player of the Week award this season and sixth of her career.
Rookie of the Week
Anastasia Warren, Stony Brook – Fr., Guard, Atlanta, Ga.
- Tallied five points and four rebounds in the lone game of the week for the Seawolves.
- Also notched a pair of steals to cap an 11-2 non-conference slate.
- This is her third Rookie of the Week nod this season.
